Harbor Village PD final outcome of BCC meeting Tuesday, July 22, 2025

 What a great result for our communities!!! The final tally:

· There will be no docks along the Interconnector and Butterford Waterways! This is in writing in the PD. All docks will reside in the Marina.

· Additional language was added at the meeting, which states there will be “protected greenbelt” that will state “All mangroves along the Interconnector shall be preserved, and only trimmed in accordance with FDEP rules."

· The “greenbelt” will not be platted to home ownership – the exact language is forthcoming in the future revisions of conditions.

· The commercial retail will remain at no less than 950,000 sq ft.

· The county is working on ensuring increased enforcement of regulations and ordinance infractions; however it is up to us as a community to report them.

This was great news! We owe you many thanks for your signing of the petition, sending emails and being there yesterday as it was well attended with many individuals in the overflow room.

The county commissioners had significant praise for the community citizens that showed up and stated it was one of the most professional engagements they have seen. Please continue to help our community and step up when you see something. Big thanks to all of you that helped protect our piece of paradise.
