We need you there!!!
Habor Village Board of County Commissioners meeting on July 22, 2025 @ 2:00pm - 18500 Murdock Circle Room #119
Tomorrow the Friends of South Gulf Cove (FoSGC) team will be attending the BCC meeting regarding the Harbor Village Project. We urgently need your help on Tuesday at 2PM for just a few hours by attending the BCC meeting at 18500 Murdock Circle Room #119. We need you there when the Harbor Village topic comes up to show the unification of the communities and that we stand in solidarity to oppose the development unless specific conditions are met in order to protect our piece of paradise, waterways, homes and their values.
We need your attendance; you need not speak but we need you to be seen and felt as a force. The Applicant has listened to and made many concessions you have asked for. For instance:
There will be no docks along the Interconnector and Butterford Waterways! This is in writing in the PD. All docks will reside in the Marina.
The Maronda representatives have just informed us that they will be adding an additional clause to the PD due to the input of the community at the last Town Hall meeting. At the meeting tomorrow they will propose adding, “all mangroves along the canal shall be preserved, and only trimmed in accordance with FDEP rules."
The commercial retail will remain at no less than 950,000 sq ft.
The FoSGC will be presenting all of the concerns of the communities to ensure County Enforcement is also part of this development. We will be representing the communities that will be affected by the development and all that share the waterways. We want to thank you for your input, your support during our Town Hall Meetings, and your willingness to send emails to the County Commissioners.
We urge you to attend, if you can please make the time. You need not speak, just show your support so we can obtain closure on all the parameters that are good not only for our communities, but also for the future of Charlotte County
Thank you for your support,
The Friends of South Gulf Cove Team
